Lake Arts Project
A 501(c)3non-profit organization demonstrating how art is an essential part of life.
With the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020, we realized the need for the arts on a virtual platform has increased, not only for current dancers and arts enthusiasts, but also to continue to support people during this challenging time, using art as a bridge.

Our 2020 Lake Arts Project season was cut short, as were most live arts performances. In response to this, and to continue fulfilling our mission to provide to artists, musicians, and veterans, we created Social DisDANCE. This virtual performances aired on Facebook in a special live event in the spring of 2021.
We have added Zoom to our list of tools for teaching students as well as finding time and opportunities to share, express, and perpetuate art as a creative and healing haven. As many performing arts organizations have also learned, the use of both online interaction as well live performance are vital tools to benefit from great power of the arts.
